Our orthopedic surgeons receive additional training in treating conditions affecting the hand, including trauma, fractures, arthritis, ligament dysfunction, and tendon and nerve injuries.

Common Hand Problems

The specialists at our Hand Clinic are ready to provide you with the right treatment for these common injuries:

Rheumatoid arthritis–chronic inflammation of the joint lining. This form of arthritis causes pain, swelling, and stiffness. In some cases it can enter and damage the bone and cartilage.

Osteoarthritis–breaking down of the joint’s cartilage or the moving parts of the joints. When this happens in the hand, it affects the small joints of the fingers and the base joint of the thumb.

Evaluation and Treatment

Our team of certified hand therapists will work with you to develop a personal treatment plan and set goals to meet your therapeutic needs. We consider your lifestyle, goals, and occupation when developing your personalized treatment program.
We want to help you return to work and your normal lifestyle as quickly as possible.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Surgery

To treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, we use a technique called modified open-release surgery. This procedure uses wrist arthroscopy to diagnose and treat problems inside the joint. It requires a few small incisions and allows us to accurately diagnose problems. And because it’s minimally invasive, you’ll experience a faster recovery time with less scarring and pain.

We also offer specialized surgical and non-surgical techniques for other injuries:

  • Fracture repair
  • Hand/finger joint replacement
  • Nerve repair
  • Tendon repair
