HEAT Sport-Specific Program

Clean and jerk lift as part of the High Energy Advanced Training (HEAT) Program.

Your Sport-Specific Program begins with an initial evaluation of health history and fitness testing. With this information, we develop a customized sport-specific program or generalized fitness plan. One of our exercise physiologists monitors your training and charts your progress.

Each sport-specific program is broken down into 5 different areas:

Strength Training

We’ll teach you safe and proper lifting techniques for free-weight and olympic-style lifts. As your strength and coordination improve, you’ll progress from basic lifts to more complex and explosive lifts.

Running/Skating Treadmill

Our running/skating treadmill is used to improve your speed, power, body awareness, and overall body mechanics. You’ll be challenged with speed, power, back pedaling, and endurance workouts.

Plyometrics

Plyometrics are at the heart of the HEAT program to improve foot speed, agility, spacial awareness, and explosiveness.. Workouts consist of multidirectional hopping, bounding, and jumping drills for the lower body, and medicine balls for the upper body.

Core Stabilization

A strong core prevents abdominal and back injuries. We’ll help you strengthen your core with traditional and non-traditional exercises.

Flexibility

Flexibility releases muscle tension and soreness, increase physical and mental relaxation, and reduce your risk of injury. We’ll teach you specific stretching techniques to improve your flexibility.
