The most common
shoulder problems are usually related to the rotator cuff, instability,
arthritis, or stiffness. Symptoms consist of pain, weakness, popping
or clicking, stiffness, or looseness.
Rotator Cuff problems are the
most common cause of shoulder problems for people over 30 and usually
start with tendonitis or bursitis.
Common knee diseases and problems (bursitis, ACL tears, arthritis,
meniscus tear, etc.) result in pain, giving away, locking, or swelling.
The
location of the pain is a good indicator of what the underlying
problem is. Your physician will be able to help you determine what
kind of treatement is best for your condition.
Learning what to expect before and after your knee or shoulder treatment
can greatly reduce anxiety and stress relating to the treatment.
The more you know and understand about what you’ll be going
through, the more capable you’ll be in facing the challenges
and changes that the treatment will have on your day-to-day life.
Ask questions. Talk through the issues or concerns you may have.
Speak to your doctor and get a clear understanding of the process.
