Over 400 Athletes Felt the HEAT This Summer

This summer the HEAT program was very busy with both our in-clinic program at St. Cloud Orthopedics and our three satellite programs at Sauk Rapids High School, St. Cloud Cathedral High School, and Bernick’s Arena (Sartell Youth Hockey).

Over 400 athletes participated in the program, which includes weight training, speed training, plyometrics, agility drills, conditioning, core strengthening, and flexibility enhancement.

The HEAT program is a great program for athletes not currently in a fall sport to get ready to compete at a high level for their respective winter sports. Athletes are welcome to train up to 3 times a week for a variety of workouts to challenge their bodies with sport specific workouts. Athletes will run, complete plyometric workouts, weight lift, and perform core-strengthening exercises.

The HEAT program is also open to any fitness enthusiasts with specific fitness goals or interested in improving their level of fitness. We have a wide variety of people in the program from college-aged to older adults in their 70’s. Because each person has specific needs and goals, we’ll work with you to develop an individualized program to fit your needs. Learn more about the HEAT Program.
